This field-based role is ideal for skilled technicians who value independence and variety. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light and medium-duty vehicles, including emergency roadside service. Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on auto or diesel tech experience working on light to medium duty vehicles.
  • Strong communication skills to connect and communicate with customers and drivers.
  • Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems, and digital tools to stay organized and document repairs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (rain or shine).
  • Independent, dependable, and self-motivated.
  • Positive attitude and safety-first mindset.
  • Must be 23+ years old with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
  • Must bring your own hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light and medium-duty vehicles in a mobile field environment.
  • Handle emergency road service calls with confidence and urgency.
  • Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
  • Use advanced diagnostic tools, including handheld computers and precision instruments, to identify and fix issues.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs.
  • Road test vehicles to ensure all repairs meet top-quality standards.
  • Meet or beat industry-standard repair times.
  • Work with trusted vendors to source parts.
  • Take ownership of a company-issued service truck, perform maintenance and pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Support team members wherever needed.
