Ryder is hiring a Senior Level Diesel Technician in Alexandria, LA. This role offers a stable career with weekly pay and excellent benefits. The position involves performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard and preventive maintenance, diagnosing complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers, completing detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision, replacing defective components, and working unsupervised on most tasks. Additionally, the role includes performing facility maintenance duties, interacting with customers/drivers, utilizing shop management systems and electronic documentation, and working in accordance with compliance guidelines. The technician will also act as a mentor for lower-level technicians and demonstrate the ability to access and use maintenance documents. Other support duties may be required, such as Service Island support, completing OEM On-Line diagnostic scan tool software courses, and becoming SBTIII trained within 180 days.
