Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License required; must meet company insurability standards.
  • Technicians at all experience levels are considered, from entry-level candidates with up to 3 years of experience to highly skilled professionals with 5+ years in the field.
  • Regular standing and use of hands
  • Frequent walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs, frequently up to 100 lbs, and occasionally more than 100 lbs.
  • Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Nice To Haves

  • A one-year certificate from a college or vocational/technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor to advanced repairs as outlined on the repair order
  • Diagnose causes of malfunctions and complete repairs as directed by a supervisor
  • Assist other technicians on major repairs
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Save and tag warranty or customer-requested parts
  • Examine vehicles for additional safety or service needs
  • Document all work performed and recommended, including warranty information
  • Road test vehicles as required or refer to test technician
  • Keep work area, service truck, and customer vehicles clean and organized
  • Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
  • Stay current on manufacturer technical bulletins
  • Follow all federal, state, and local regulations, and adhere to Hunter Truck safety policies
  • Handle complex mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision (Expert to Master levels)
  • Performs electrical and/or air conditioning system repairs (Expert to Master levels)
  • Performs major component repairs and/or overhauls (Expert to Master levels)
