Ryder is hiring a Senior Level Diesel Technician in Winchester, Virginia. This role offers a stable career with weekly pay and excellent benefits. The position involves performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard and preventive maintenance, diagnosing complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers, completing detailed inspections and repairs with minimal supervision, and replacing defective components. The technician will also perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints. This role utilizes key functions of the Shop Management System and electronic documentation, and requires adherence to all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines. Additionally, the Senior Diesel Technician will act as a mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels and demonstrate the ability to access and use maintenance documents. Other support duties may be required to support operations, such as Service Island support. Specific training requirements include being SBTIII trained within 180 days and completing 2 OEM On-Line diagnostic scan tool software courses as required by the fleet mix.
