About The Position

Miller Transportation Group, a leader in the transportation industry since 1912 and family-owned, is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician for its Miller Truck Leasing division in Logan Township, NJ. This role involves performing maintenance and repairs on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles. Miller operates over 40 Diesel Maintenance shops and has a fleet of over 8,000 trucks, offering a stable and supportive work environment.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors.
• A valid CDL (Class A or B) or the ability to acquire a CDL with the assistance of our trainer.
• Possession of hand tools.
• Ability to work Monday - Friday from 3:00 PM until 11:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles.
• Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes using company-supplied OEM software, following proper warranty procedures.
• Repair/Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments.
• Replace clutches and transmissions.
