About the Entry-Level Diesel Mechanic/Technician Role As an Entry-Level Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you’ll be the trusted technician our customers rely on to keep their fleets on the road. This field-based role is perfect for entry-level technicians or recent tech school grads who are looking for an opportunity to launch their career and expand their skill set. In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and light repairs on Class 6-8 trucks. Backed by a supportive team that values your skill, drive and dedication, you’ll tackle new challenges every day and take pride in delivering safe, reliable and efficient service that keeps America moving. Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 8:00pm-5:00am

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years of hands-on diesel tech experience working on Class 6-8 trucks.
  • DOT inspection and preventative maintenance expertise.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Independent, dependable, and self-motivated.
  • A positive attitude and safety-first mindset.
  • Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
  • Must bring own hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and light follow up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks in a field environment.
  • Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs.
  • Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times.
  • Support team members as needed.
