About The Position

As a Diesel Mechanic/Technician C, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining all the equipment used to transport and handle freight. This includes single and tandem axle diesel over-the-road and city tractors, diesel city straight trucks, and propane and diesel-powered industrial forklifts. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • At least 6 months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to satisfactorily pass background check and alcohol and drug test

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, and maintain all the equipment we use to transport and handle freight
  • Track completed and uncompleted work to maintain adequate production in order to meet service schedule and customer commitments
  • Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on the component parts and systems of trucks, tractors, converter gear, and forklifts
  • Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or other type of breakdown or potential failure
  • Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, cooling system test, brake adjustments, and tire inflation
  • Repair or rebuild all or part of a system of assigned equipment as needed
