About The Position
As a Tech B Diesel & Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Mechanic, you will work alongside shop leadership and senior mechanics to keep our diverse fleet of Diesel and CNG vehicles operating in peak, "road-ready" condition. You will handle everything from standard preventative maintenance and electronic diagnostics to complex mechanical repairs in a safe, fast-paced shop environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty diesel and/or CNG fleet maintenance.
- Brake Safety Certificate
- EPA Section 609 A/C Certification
- Proficiency with electronic diagnostic software and basic computer systems.
- Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations, with a strong commitment to shop safety.
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
Nice To Haves
- Valid Class A or B CDL strongly preferred (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- ASE certifications are a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines, CNG systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
- Conduct thorough DOT and brake inspections to ensure full safety compliance across all fleet vehicles.
- Perform routine and complex brake system repairs and service A/C systems using standard electronic diagnostic software.
- Test-drive trucks as needed to accurately diagnose issues and confirm repairs.
- Log work orders, manage parts inventory, maintain clean work bays, and adhere strictly to OSHA and GFL safety protocols.
