About The Position

Air Products is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician for their Lancaster, PA facility. This role is responsible for the maintenance of company-owned tractors and tanker trailers. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly motivated, well-organized, a self-starter with a strong commitment to safety, and a strong team player. The Lancaster facility produces and distributes liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and bulk hydrogen to the merchant market in the northeastern U.S. This position reports to the Lancaster Distribution Supervisor and is eligible for the Veteran Apprenticeship Program.

Requirements

• High School diploma/equivalent
• 1-3 years vehicle maintenance experience
• Mechanical background, with above average computer experience/skills
• Electrical troubleshooting skills on 12-volt DC circuits
• Solid work history

Nice To Haves

• Gas and electrical welding experience preferred
• Troubleshooting and repair experience a plus
• Welding knowledge and experience a plus
• Energetic, highly motivated and well organized, self-starter with strong commitment to safety
• Strong team player with ability to work well with fellow mechanics/drivers/operations personnel
• Technical School Graduates: Students with a background in Industrial Systems, Machine Tool Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Automotive Technology, HVAC, Process Technology, Electrical Technology, Instrumentation Technology are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as necessary on tractors and tanker trailers
• Document/record work performed electronically on computer-based maintenance system
• Perform road repairs when necessary
• Perform electrical/electronic repairs on tractor and trailers
