About The Position
The Diesel Mechanic II performs skilled maintenance and repairs on Class 8 diesel tractors, trailers, and material handling equipment. You’ll handle advanced diagnostics, maintain service records, and help ensure our fleet remains DOT-compliant and road-ready.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of diesel mechanic experience
- Knowledge of Class 8 vehicle systems and components
- Valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- Technical school certification or ASE credentials
- Welding, trailer repair, or forklift maintenance experience
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced DC environment
Responsibilities
- 2nd Shift
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and braking systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
- Maintain service logs and repair documentation
- Operate tools and diagnostic equipment safely
