Interstate Waste Services is seeking a Diesel Mechanic B to perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment, including diesel heavy trucks and engines. This role involves performing preventive maintenance inspections (PMI), troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding major components on vehicles and equipment, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective repair or replacement. The mechanic will also be responsible for completing required paperwork using fleet maintenance software, assisting in equipment repair and adjustment, washing vehicles and equipment, conducting safety checks, assisting with breakdown service calls, and maintaining a clean and safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards.
