Position Overview As a Diesel Mechanic Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians to learn how to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and agricultural equipment. This position is designed for someone who wants to grow into a highly skilled diesel technician through hands-on training, mentorship, and continued education. You will assist with services including: Preventative Maintenance Services Tire & Wheel Service Brake Inspections & Repairs Suspension & Steering Repairs Trailer Repair & Maintenance Electrical System Diagnostics Driveline & Chassis Repair Shop Maintenance & Equipment Care 24-Hour Emergency Road Service Support As your knowledge and experience grow, you will have the opportunity to pursue company-paid A.S.E. Certifications and additional technical training.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work with tools and equipment throughout the shift.
  • Must be dependable and willing to learn from experienced technicians.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to other locations for training.
  • The ability to work a full shift, arrive on time, and work according to the necessary schedule to meet business demands with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior automotive, diesel, farm, or mechanical experience preferred but not required.
  • Trade school or technical education is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and agricultural equipment.
  • Assist with Preventative Maintenance Services.
  • Assist with Tire & Wheel Service.
  • Assist with Brake Inspections & Repairs.
  • Assist with Suspension & Steering Repairs.
  • Assist with Trailer Repair & Maintenance.
  • Assist with Electrical System Diagnostics.
  • Assist with Driveline & Chassis Repair.
  • Assist with Shop Maintenance & Equipment Care.
  • Provide 24-Hour Emergency Road Service Support.
