About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for maintaining and repairing building systems and manufacturing equipment to support safe and efficient operations. This role includes performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and completing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and meet production demands. You are expected to follow all safety guidelines while working independently to ensure equipment and facilities remain in reliable working condition. Salary range (insert amount here). Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the construction or heavy equipment industry.
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the construction or heavy equipment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to work with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in diesel mechanics or related fields (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment, including trucks, cranes, loaders, and excavators.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot to identify necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Maintain and repair vehicle engines, brakes, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other critical systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Assist in coordinating parts ordering and inventory management for necessary equipment repairs.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, following all safety and cleanliness guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Respond to emergency repairs as required to minimize operational disruptions.
