About The Position
Berman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Oak Lawn is looking for a Journeyman or Master Diesel Technician to join their high-performance team. This is a Union Shop offering premium compensation and a massive sign-on bonus. The role involves performing complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs, utilizing the latest factory diagnostic tools and software, and mentoring junior technicians.
Requirements
- ASE Certified Master Technician (Diesel specialization preferred).
- Proven experience in advanced diagnostics, engines, and transmissions.
- Proficiency with modern automotive diagnostic software.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs.
- Utilize the latest factory diagnostic tools and software.
- Document all labor, parts, and repair procedures accurately.
- Communicate with service advisors regarding repair timelines.
- Mentor junior technicians and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
