About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Diesel / Generator Technician to join our team. This role is crucial for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing industrial generators, transfer switches, and fire pump engines. The ideal candidate will have a first-responder mindset, enjoy hands-on mechanical work, and take pride in maintaining critical systems. You will communicate directly with clients and internal teams, coordinate with the field service team, and participate in an on-call rotation. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Generator Technician
- Solid hands-on knowledge of engines, motors, and electrical systems
- Willingness and ability to lift 130 lbs and work long hours as needed
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be able to commute to our shop location at: 4701 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46222

Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on industrial generators, transfer switches, and fire pump engines
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Communicate directly with clients, chief engineers, and internal teams
- Coordinate with the field service team and administrative staff
- Load, unload, and transport heavy tools and equipment (up to 130 lbs)
- Drive and maneuver trailers in varied conditions
- Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency, after-hours, and weekend service
- Attend company-paid continuing education and certifications
