About The Position

As an Equipment Mechanic at Pro-Vac, you will maintain our expansive fleet so that we can continue providing quality environmental services to our community. Every day, you will organize your work orders based on priority, critically analyze each issue, and independently troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment. To thrive in this shop, you must have experience working with heavy duty equipment and diesel trucks, can be a creative and independent problem-solver, and be eager to learn and grow with the company.

Requirements

At least three or more years of experience with heavy equipment
Worked in a shop for more than 5 years as a diesel mechanic
5+ years experience with Dealer Level Training in Paccar, Cummins and or Detroit
Proficient in using computer systems & applications to accomplish daily tasks
5+ years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks
Ability to perform PM inspections and repairs on heavy duty trucks, transmissions, Hydraulics, brakes, Electrical and Diesel Emissions

Responsibilities

Organize work orders based on priority
Critically analyze each issue
Independently troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment
Analyzing and diagnosing (troubleshooting) equipment malfunctions or failures
Performing preventative maintenance, inspection, and correction of major and minor repairs on various equipment (with occasional welding & fabrication)
Executing essential repairs on gas and diesel engines, transmissions, electrical and electronic systems, brakes, hydraulic systems, suspensions, steering, fuel systems
Completing Federal DOT inspections on commercial vehicles
