About The Position
Diesel Equipment & Generator Technician/Mechanic – San Antonio, TX $30.00 - $34.00 hr | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits within 30 Days Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Diesel Equipment & Generator Technician/Mechanic to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. Our client has 2-4 yards in the region and could use our fleet truck to support our Austin Shop when needed. Must have expertise with surge brakes, repairs include repacking bearings, plus repairing our Kubota and John Deere engines. Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience repairing diesel equipment, generators, and associated components
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on diesel engines, generators, and related equipment
- Experience in testing and operating vehicles and equipment to verify proper function
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below)
- Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Responsibilities
- Perform timely repairs and maintenance on diesel generators and associated equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, generators, and other components
- Test and operate vehicles and equipment to ensure all systems function properly
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to maintain safety and reliability
- Ensure equipment meets safety and compliance standards
- Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet and equipment operations
