Where You Will Work Our Miami smelter and rod plant is nestled just 90 miles east of Phoenix. The smelter processes copper concentrate primarily from our company’s Arizona copper mines and is the most significant source of sulfuric acid for our North American leaching operations. What You Will Do Perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as, but not limited to: Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and Motor Graders. Perform the removal, repair and installation of transmissions, engines, breaks, differentials, pumps, motors, torque convertors, final drives and other heavy equipment systems or components. Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on machine systems such as: hydraulic, power train and engines. Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed. Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspections. Operate mobile equipment such as: Overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks. Perform welding such as: Carbon arc, Plasma, Mig, Tig, and Stick. Perform as a Fill-in Supervisor as required. Train and mentor other employees. Perform other duties as required.
