Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience working as a diesel/commercial vehicle technician.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a comprehensive set of personal hand tools and air tools appropriate for commercial vehicle repair.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and meet company motor vehicle report standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate heavy machinery safely.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree or certificate from an accredited diesel technician program is a major plus.
  • Current ASE Certifications (Medium/Heavy Truck T-Series) or OEM factory training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide variety of fleet and commercial diesel vehicles (including light/medium-duty trucks, vans, and heavy-duty commercial vehicles).
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, braking systems (including air brakes), and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct comprehensive preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and DOT safety inspections to ensure fleet compliance.
  • Utilize OEM and aftermarket diagnostic software to accurately identify mechanical and electronic faults.
  • Accurately document all diagnoses, repairs performed, and parts utilized on repair orders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace while strictly adhering to all OSHA and dealership safety guidelines.
