Requirements

Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience working as a diesel/commercial vehicle technician.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a comprehensive set of personal hand tools and air tools appropriate for commercial vehicle repair.
Must have a valid driver's license and meet company motor vehicle report standards.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate heavy machinery safely.

Nice To Haves

A degree or certificate from an accredited diesel technician program is a major plus.
Current ASE Certifications (Medium/Heavy Truck T-Series) or OEM factory training preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide variety of fleet and commercial diesel vehicles (including light/medium-duty trucks, vans, and heavy-duty commercial vehicles).
Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, braking systems (including air brakes), and hydraulic systems.
Conduct comprehensive preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and DOT safety inspections to ensure fleet compliance.
Utilize OEM and aftermarket diagnostic software to accurately identify mechanical and electronic faults.
Accurately document all diagnoses, repairs performed, and parts utilized on repair orders.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace while strictly adhering to all OSHA and dealership safety guidelines.
