This internship provides hands-on experience in tool and die operations, machining, tooling maintenance, measurement systems, and manufacturing processes within a fast-paced automotive environment. Requirements

• Must be a student pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering prints, drawings, and specifications to understand tooling, fixtures, and die components.
• Gain hands-on experience with tool room equipment, including lathes, drill presses, milling machines, surface grinders, and other machining equipment.
• Assist with die maintenance, tooling assembly, fitting, and adjustments to support production and quality requirements.
• Learn precision measurement and inspection techniques using gauges, measuring tools, Faro equipment, and other quality verification methods.
• Support toolmakers and die leaders during tooling tryouts, troubleshooting activities, and continuous improvement projects.
• Develop foundational welding skills through exposure to MIG and TIG welding applications used in tooling and fixture repair.
• Work with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to understand tooling design, manufacturing processes, and problem-solving techniques.
