About The Position

The Die Shop Leader supports the safe, efficient and consistent operation of the assigned production area. This role provides daily direction to team members, coordinates production requirements, maintains quality and productivity standards, and supports continuous improvement. Perform die cleaning and correction duties, including but not limited to die polishing, assembly and set-up at each press per set extrusion schedule.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of Aluminum Extrusion experience and knowledge of die correcting
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills combined with the ability to coach, train and mentor all levels of associates
Ability to develop and play a team member role with other plant members
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, as well as off shift as required
Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Word and Excel programs required
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Lead troubleshooting and repair of tooling equipment
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Minimize downtime and improve overall equipment performance
Promotes 5S adherence
All other reasonable duties, as assigned
