About The Position

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Die Setter for its 1st shift operations. As a tier 1 supplier of complex metal assemblies for the automotive industry, Challenge Manufacturing values innovation, teamwork, and employee ownership. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality production of parts by setting up and changing dies on various types of presses according to established procedures and specifications. Requirements

  • Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal workplace instructions.
  • Minimum 3 years’ manufacturing experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience working at Challenge Manufacturing or one-year leadership experience.
  • Machine operation and/or material handling equipment experience.
  • Metal stamping, die setting in stamping, lock out/tag out, and press operating experience.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and changes dies on small and large (200 Ton to 2500 Ton) Progressive, Secondary and Transfer presses.
  • Ensures quality parts are produced per Challenge Manufacturing Quality Standards, production schedules, and engineering specifications.
  • Follows prescribed Job Element Sheets (JES) and die set up sheets.
