About The Position
We are looking for a skilled Die Setter / Press Setup Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and changing over dies, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring production runs safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has experience with press operations, strong mechanical abilities, and a commitment to quality and safety. Requirements
- Previous experience as a Die Setter, Press Operator, Press Setup Technician, Tooling Technician, or Machine Setup Technician.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for tooling adjustments and equipment setup.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials and components as required.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with stamping presses and die changeovers preferred.
- Basic electrical knowledge is a plus.
- Forklift experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and manufacturing documentation.
- Set up and change over dies and fixtures on production equipment.
- Adjust presses to proper shut heights and ensure correct material alignment and progression.
- Install and maintain chutes, slides, conveyors, and related components.
- Troubleshoot setup and production issues to minimize downtime.
- Verify first-piece inspections and release jobs to production.
- Ensure products meet quality specifications throughout the manufacturing process.
- Operate production equipment and assist with material handling when needed.
- Safely operate forklifts and maintain certification.
- Support housekeeping, organization, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to maintain efficient operations.
