Requirements
- Proven experience in die repair and maintenance within the aluminum extrusion manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of metalworking processes, including grinding, welding, and machining.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in repairing complex dies.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and document work performed.
- Must pass company background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, repair, and maintenance of aluminum extrusion dies to ensure proper functionality and quality output.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to die performance and implement effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize die design and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain documentation related to die repair activities, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
- Operate precision tools and machinery such as grinders, welders, and measuring instruments safely and efficiently.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of extrusion dies and reduce manufacturing downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies while performing all tasks.
- Train and mentor junior technicians in die repair techniques and best practices.
