About The Position

Kawasaki Tennessee, Inc. is currently accepting applications for a Die Maintenance Tech I position in our Aluminum Die Casting facility. Candidates for this position must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime. Requirements

Commensurate training/job experience.
Solid work history and willingness to successfully function in a team environment.
Basic math skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel.
Ability to work rotating day/night shift each month.
Frequent walking, sitting, standing, squatting, climbing, lifting, and bending.
Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently throughout a shift.
Must have good responses and be alert at all times.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications of tools, dies, prototypes or models.
Compute dimensions and tolerances and set up machine tools.
Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining.
Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of basic machine shop equipment.
Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, and micrometers.
Fit and assemble or disassemble parts using hand tools.
Test completed dies or fixtures for proper operation.
Knowledgeable in procedures and safety measures of designated areas of responsibility.
Performs regular safety audits.
Actively participates on Company Safety committee.
Supports continual improvement initiatives.
Complies with all TS requirements.
