Position Overview As a Die Designer, youll play a vital role in designing extrusion dies and gages for inspecting parts for producing high-strength structural components used in aerospace applications worldwide. Responsibilities Exercise and promote safety Receive new die orders directly from Sales department Receive replacement die orders from Production Department Provides extrusion technical support in die design Identify potential die problems and implement solutions or die corrections Supply input and suggestions to assist in the development of a departmental strategic plan Receive pre-sale quote request and customer prints from Sales Department Design secondary tooling for stretching, rework, forming operations and maintain inventory of tooling Provider Maintenance, Production or QA with any prints or designs needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED; engineering degree a plus Minimum Experience: 1 year of CAD/Drafting and/or 1-year machine shop experience; 2-5 years experience in aluminum extrusion process; SolidWorks experience preferred with knowledge of machine and tool capability; FEA analysis a plus Certifications Required: SolidWorks certificate of training a plus Physically able to stand, bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly Safety Commitment All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety trainings, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Employees must understand the PPE and wear it properly. Requirements

  • Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED; engineering degree a plus
