Summary/Objective The Die Cutter Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient setup, operation, and maintenance of die cutting equipment to produce high-quality printed and converted materials according to customer specifications and production standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Shift: M-F; 6:00am-2:30pm (40 hours a week)
Requirements
- Ability to set up and operate a full range of work on die cut machines including score, die cut, perforate, kiss cut.
- Experience with die cut operation on all kinds of substrates including text, book, cover, board.
- Ability to read and follow written job tickets and schedules.
- Good math skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, coworkers and customers.
- High School diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in set-up and operating a die cutting machine
Nice To Haves
- Ability to operate foil stamp equipment a plus.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate all die-cut (Rotary, Rollem, Bobst) equipment
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on die cut equipment
- Match sample to die cut piece
- Maintain quality and productivity
- Correct and/or report any unsafe conditions
- Train apprentice and entry level members as needed
