About The Position
IML Labels, a North American printing company specializing in In-Mold Labeling, is seeking a Die Cutting Operator for its plant in Aurora, Illinois. The operator runs Heidelberg die-cutting equipment, performs quality checks during operation, makes necessary adjustments, and carries out maintenance and minor mechanical repairs. The role also involves following preventive maintenance schedules, communicating with a supervisor about damage to cutting dies, and reading, understanding, and following production files. Additional related tasks may be assigned as needed. Second- and third-shift schedules are available.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Basic knowledge of the printing industry.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Great team spirit.
- Overtime is required based on production needs, with advanced notice.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of experience as a Die-Cutting Operator is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate Heidelberg die-cutting equipment and make adjustments and perform maintenance.
- Cut labels and validate that they meet quality requirements.
- Package labels and identify finished boxes.
- Perform minor mechanical adjustments or repairs and follow the established preventive maintenance schedule.
- Communicate with the supervisor if cutting dies are damaged.
- Read, understand, and follow production files.
- Complete other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
