About The Position

The Die Cast Operator will create, adapt, and adjust molds used in cast manufacturing. This role requires a thorough understanding of machinery and mold creation, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a solid grasp of applicable safety rules. The position involves prolonged periods of standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, superior manual dexterity, and visual acuity for reading blueprints and performing inspections.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, adapts, and modifies molds for die cast tooling, metal stamping, and other molding operations.
• Uses various measuring and gauging tools to perform necessary inspections before, during, and after molding operations.
• Sets up equipment based on mold requirements, materials, and tolerances.
• Executes production runs; conducts quality control testing before mold enters production cycle.
• Maintains knowledge of materials and products.
• Assists machinists and millwrights with injection molding process and equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
