About The Position

DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve our patients at our Ashtabula Dialysis Center in Ashtabula, OH. Paid Training Provided! Some Health Care Experience Preferred. • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
• Ability to lift minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted.
• Able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, and use full range of body motions.
• Ability to interact in person and by phone clearly and efficiently.
• Ability to use computer and all peripherals as needed to meet goals.
• I have read and understand the duties and expectations of this position.

Nice To Haves

• Some Health Care Experience Preferred.
• Health care experience including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients at our Ashtabula Dialysis Center.
• Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment.
• Care for up to 4-5 patients at a time.
• Monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
• Educate patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
• Work under the supervision of a RN.
• Get the water room ready and the bicarb for the patients.
• Test the water for chlorine.
• Check to make sure the tools are calibrated.
• Train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
• Learn how to become teach future DaVita teammates clinical procedures and policies.
• Build long-term relationships with patients.
