About The Position

DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve our patients at our Center Ridge Dialysis Center in North Ridgeville, OH. Paid Training Provided! Some details about this position: Schedule: Mon-Sat 5:00am - 6:00pm ( alternating schedule) Location has 14 chairs and the clinic has 1 RN per shift, 3 Dialysis Techs on M/W/F and 2 Dialysis Techs on T/TH/S PCTs expected shifts for this clinic: 3-4 days/week with a minimum of two Saturdays/month and can be asked to start as early as 3:00 am Hours of work may vary during the training period; however, you will typically be working between 32-40 hours per week during training You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday Paid training: DaVita offers all new dialysis teammates a robust, paid training program to help you learn the right dialysis skills. The training is a mix of classroom and hands on training. Reimbursement for your Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license Our PCTs also find DaVita professionally fulfilling. Requirements

• You are reliable (attendance and punctuality are crucial), love to learn, have a desire to help people, are looking for a career with a company you can grow with, are comfortable with early shifts and long hours on your feet, and love a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be comfortable working around blood and needles
• Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb
• Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet so wear comfortable shoes!
• Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
• Ability to lift minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted; able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, and use full range of body motions
• Ability to interact in person and by phone clearly and efficiently
• Ability to use computer and all peripherals as needed to meet goals

Nice To Haves

• Health care experience preferred including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care. Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment. Our PCTs care for up to 4-5 patients at a time.
• Technician Duties . In the morning, the opening PCT is coming in to get the water room ready and the bicarb for the patients. They are testing the water for chlorine, checking to make sure the tools are calibrated. There are a lot of duties in the morning.
• To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
• Building long-term relationships with your patients who are suffering from end stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week.
• Educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
