About The Position

DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve our patients at our Shaker Square Dialysis Center in Cleveland, OH. Paid Training Provided! The PCTs are responsible for direct patient care, spending the majority of their day in one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment. Our PCTs care for up to 4-5 patients at a time. Technician duties include preparing the water room and bicarb for patients, testing water for chlorine, and ensuring tools are calibrated. They monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. This role involves exposure to blood and needles. PCTs also educate patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics and work within a cross-functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership, working under the supervision of an RN.   • Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet.
  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
  • Ability to lift minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, and use full range of body motions.
  • Ability to interact in person and by phone clearly and efficiently.
  • Ability to use computer and all peripherals as needed to meet goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • BONENT Certified.
  • Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT).
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
  • Phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities
