About The Position

DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve our patients at our Park Side Dialysis Center in Westerville, OH. Paid Training Provided! This position would require floating to other clinics to maintain full-time hours. The role involves direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment, caring for up to 4-5 patients at a time. PCTs work under the supervision of an RN and are responsible for educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics. The position is part of a cross-functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership.   • Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet.
  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
  • Ability to lift minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, and use full range of body motions.
  • Ability to interact in person and by phone clearly and efficiently.
  • Ability to use computer and all peripherals as needed to meet goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • BONENT Certified.
  • Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT).
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
  • Phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities

  • Serve patients at the Park Side Dialysis Center in Westerville, OH.
  • Float to other clinics to maintain full-time hours.
  • Provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment in direct one-on-one patient care.
  • Care for up to 4-5 patients at a time.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
  • Prepare the water room and bicarb for patients.
  • Test water for chlorine and check tool calibration.
  • Educate patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
  • Work under the supervision of an RN.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes for patients and teammates.
  • Build long-term relationships with patients receiving treatment on average 3 times/week.
