About The Position

DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve our patients at our Canton Dialysis Center in Canton, OH. Paid Training Provided! This position involves direct patient care, spending the majority of the day in one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment. PCTs care for up to 4-5 patients at a time. Duties include preparing the water room and bicarb, testing water for chlorine, checking tool calibration, monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. You will have exposure to blood and needles. The role also involves building long-term relationships with patients and educating them on Kidney Dialysis related topics. PCTs work under the supervision of an RN within a cross-functional team of clinicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb.
• Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet.
• Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Health care experience preferred including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities
