About The Position

DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve our patients at our Canton Dialysis Center in Canton, OH. Paid Training Provided! This position involves direct patient care, spending the majority of the day in one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment. PCTs care for up to 4-5 patients at a time. Duties include preparing the water room, mixing acid/bicarb, testing water, calibrating tools, and monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. You will have exposure to blood and needles. The role also involves building long-term relationships with patients and educating them on Kidney Dialysis related topics. PCTs work under the supervision of an RN within a cross-functional team of clinicians.

Requirements

• Dependable with a great work ethic, adaptable, reliable, friendly, enthusiastic.
• Comfortable working with blood and needles.
• Comfortable mixing acid or bicarb.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet.
• Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare experience preferred.
• BONENT Certified.
• Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT).
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• Phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.
• Care for up to 4-5 patients at a time.
• Prepare the water room and mix acid/bicarb.
• Test water for chlorine and check tool calibration.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
• Measure and record patient stats.
• Perform patient observations.
• Set up hemodialysis machines.
• Educate patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
• Work under the supervision of an RN.
