About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a Hemodialysis RN to provide specialized care to inpatients who need hemodialysis during rehabilitation. The nurse works as part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering compassionate, individualized care in the organization’s dialysis suite and supporting patients’ recovery and quality of life. The role also includes educating nursing staff about hemodialysis patient care, equipment, and standards of care.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure as required by state regulations.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification within one year of hire.
• At least six months of dialysis nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

• CRRN certification is preferred; assistance obtaining it may be available.
• One year of experience in an inpatient hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to inpatients requiring hemodialysis.
• Supervise care and treatments, conduct patient assessments, create personalized care plans, and address patient concerns.
• Build relationships with patients and consider their physical, mental, and emotional needs to support recovery.
• Educate nursing staff on hemodialysis patient care, equipment, and standards of care.
