About The Position

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI), a nonprofit dialysis provider, is hiring a Dialysis Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care in an in-center hemodialysis unit. The RN works as part of a patient care team and helps ensure safe care and high-quality outcomes for patients with chronic kidney disease. The position is based at the Spearfish home clinic, with possible fill-in work at Rapid City.

This is a full-time role working three 12-hour shifts starting at 5 a.m. Sundays are off, and there are no overnight shifts. The starting pay range is $36 per hour, depending on nursing and dialysis experience. Dialysis experience is not required. DCI provides three months of comprehensive training, including classroom sessions and one-on-one skills training; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dialysis machines, alarms, and treatment supplies, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform hemodialysis treatments according to facility policies and procedures.
• Provide ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, assess changes, and communicate them to physicians and families.
• Administer and chart prescribed medications.
• Follow CDC and CMS infection-control regulations.
• Participate in patient-care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews.
• Document required patient-education efforts.
• Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals.
• Assist with medication inventory maintenance.
• Lead a small patient-care team.
• Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed.
• Perform additional tasks as requested.
