About The Position

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) for a per-diem position to provide specialized nursing care in one of DCI’s in-center hemodialysis units. As part of a patient care team, RNs are crucial in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes for patients with chronic kidney disease. This role involves preparing dialysis machines, performing treatments, educating patients, monitoring their condition, administering medications, and adhering to infection control regulations. The position also includes participation in care conferences, documentation, facilitating continuity of care, and potentially leading a small patient care team and contributing to onboarding new staff.

Requirements

Accredited nursing degree required
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated clinical excellence

Responsibilities

Prepare dialysis machine, its alarms, and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met
Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures
Ongoing patient education, training and health coaching
Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physician and families
Administer and chart all prescribed medications
Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations
Participate in patient care conferences, rounds and chart reviews
Document required patient education efforts
Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
Assist in medication inventory maintenance
Lead a small patient care team
Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed
