About The Position

The Kidney Care Center, located in Hobbs, NM, is a 16-chair hemodialysis center. We also offer Peritoneal Dialysis for patients. Our Schedule is Monday-Saturday. Closed on Sundays. Requirements

  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Must be able to accurately interpret color test strips.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
  • Per Federal Health Care Worker Vaccine Requirements, all employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or be approved for a valid religious or medical exemption. Anyone hired by the company must provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccine before they can begin employment or request and be approved for a valid religious or medical exemption.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • One or more years of current nursing experience preferred.
  • Previous dialysis nursing experience preferred.
  • Previous clinical and leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and document physical assessments before and after treatments.
  • Monitor patients during treatment.
  • Ensure quality renal care by completing monthly reviews of patient medication profiles.
  • Administer medications according to physician orders.
  • Be a critical member of an interdisciplinary team to provide all required patient assessment and care planning activities.
  • Ensure center staffing requirements are met at all times under the direction of the Administrator and according to state regulations for staffing ratios.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
