About The Position

Join an energetic, patient-focused team! BJC Outpatient Imaging is currently seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technologist for a Full-Time position at our brand-new outpatient imaging center in Sunset Hills, MO. In this role, you will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a collaborative outpatient environment. The majority of our patient population consists of orthopedic patients, offering an exciting opportunity to work closely with a specialized patient base. This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new imaging center and become part of a collaborative, patient-centered team dedicated to delivering high-quality outpatient imaging services in a state-of-the-art facility.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiography Technologist
  • Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
  • Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT.
  • Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.
  • BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
  • Skill in operation of radiographic equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask.
  • Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
  • Demonstrates understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations following established imaging protocols.
  • Produce high-quality images for physician interpretation.
  • Review patient history, verify exam orders, and prepare patients for procedures.
  • Ensure patient safety and apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Administer contrast media and perform venipuncture as appropriate.
  • Evaluate image quality and maintain accurate patient documentation.
  • Assist with fluoroscopic and interventional procedures as needed.
  • Maintain equipment, quality assurance standards, and exam room readiness.
  • Educate patients and collaborate with physicians and fellow team members to provide exceptional outpatient care.
