Diagnostic Technologist - Full Time - Outpatient
About The Position

BJC Outpatient Imaging is currently seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technologist for a Full-Time position at our brand-new outpatient imaging center in Sunset Hills, MO. In this role, you will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a collaborative outpatient environment. The majority of our patient population consists of orthopedic patients, offering an exciting opportunity to work closely with a specialized patient base. This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new imaging center and become part of a collaborative, patient-centered team dedicated to delivering high-quality outpatient imaging services in a state-of-the-art facility.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiography Technologist
- Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
- Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT.
- Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
- Skill in operation of radiographic equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
- Demonstrates understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations following established imaging protocols.
- Produce high-quality images for physician interpretation.
- Review patient history, verify exam orders, and prepare patients for procedures.
- Ensure patient safety and apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
- Administer contrast media and perform venipuncture as appropriate.
- Evaluate image quality and maintain accurate patient documentation.
- Assist with fluoroscopic and interventional procedures as needed.
- Maintain equipment, quality assurance standards, and exam room readiness.
- Educate patients and collaborate with physicians and fellow team members to provide exceptional outpatient care.
