About The Position

At Uvalde Memorial Hospital, every image tells a story and every scan helps guide patient care. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN X-Ray Technologist to join our Radiology team and provide exceptional diagnostic imaging services to patients across our community. Whether supporting the Emergency Department, outpatient services, or inpatient care, you’ll play a vital role in helping physicians diagnose and treat patients while ensuring a positive experience for every individual you serve.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license required.
• Current ARRT certification required.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
• Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent patient care and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

• Previous radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and answering questions.
• Position patients accurately to obtain the best diagnostic images possible.
• Operate radiology equipment safely and effectively while adhering to radiation safety standards.
• Review images for quality and accuracy before submission for interpretation.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely patient care.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and ensure imaging areas remain safe and organized.
