About The Position

Bartlett Regional Hospital is searching for a Diagnostic Sonographer to join our Ultrasound Team in the Diagnostic Imaging department! This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, plus 30 days of housing. The Diagnostic Sonographer (US) Tech 1 is a developmental role for new graduates or technologists new to Ultrasound. Work is performed under close supervision and follows established protocols. A Diagnostic Sonographer (US) Tech 1 learn to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality. The Diagnostic Sonographer (US) Tech 2 performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations independently within their registered specialty areas. Incumbents are competent, credentialed professionals who ensure that sonographic data is accurate, complete, and of diagnostic quality to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. The Diagnostic Sonographer (US) Tech 3 is an advanced-level technologist competent in multiple modalities and capable of providing technical guidance, training, and quality oversight. This role functions with minimal supervision and serves as a resource for other staff. The Diagnostic Sonographer (US) Tech 4 is an expert-level sonographer with advanced competency in cardiac and vascular imaging and recognized as a clinical leader in the department. This position acts as the supervisor in their absence.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited sonography program
  • ARDMS certification within 18 months of hire (for DS 1)
  • ARDMS certification (for DS 2, 3, 4)
  • BLS (for DS 3, 4)
  • Registered in adult echo or two non-cardiac specialties and competent in vascular (for DS 3, 4)
  • Produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances in the State of Alaska prior to the start of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Cardiac Sonography (Echo) experience
  • Previous customer service preferred (for DS 1)
  • Hospital experience preferred (for DS 2)

Responsibilities
