This Diagnostic Sonographer position is within the Ultrasound department at Vanderbilt Health Adult Hospital. The role involves performing ultrasound procedures in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality patient care services. The position is PRN with variable shifts. New graduates must obtain Radiologic credentialing within one year of hire.
Requirements
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Certification - Others
- Relevant Work Experience
- Less than 1 year of experience
- Graduate of an approved discipline specific program

Responsibilities
- Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective imaging.
- Applies a broad range of skills to ensure exams are completed timely and meet quality and compliance standards.
- Provides appropriate Diagnostic Sonographer screening processes to patients, staff, and self according to prescribed safety standards.
- Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.
- Performs ultrasound procedures in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.
