About The Position

Mayo Clinic Health System's (MCHS) region is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Diagnostic Radiologist to join their practice in Owatonna, MN. The role involves practicing with a team of 12 radiologists across four sites in southeast Minnesota. The position offers opportunities for involvement in Mayo Clinic Radiology committees, academic appointments, and collaboration with colleagues nationwide. Radiologists in this group function as general radiologists, read subspecialty exams relevant to their training, interpret breast imaging, and perform basic procedures like joint injections and breast biopsies. They utilize an integrated EMR and PACS system for a unified workflow across sites. This is a general radiology practice that includes breast imaging, allowing ample opportunity to maintain subspecialty skills across all modalities and subspecialty areas. The position offers daytime hours only, with all weeknights and overnights covered by a separate team of Mayo radiologists, resulting in minimal call requirements, no procedural call, minimal to no travel, and a great work/life balance. Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible Diagnostic Radiologist
  • Subspecialty Radiology fellowship required
  • ABR board eligible or board certification required
  • Must be eligible to obtain a medical license in Minnesota and Wisconsin

Responsibilities

  • Practice with a team of 12 highly functioning, collaborative radiologists spread among four sites in the southeast Minnesota region.
  • Join a growing practice with incremental MRI including 3T, mobile PET-CT, Mayo Clinic Rochester imaging protocols, IT resources, and physics support.
  • Provide opportunities for enriching Mayo Clinic Radiology committee representation, academic appointments, and interactions with exceptionally trained and collegial Radiology colleagues across the Midwest and the nation.
  • Function as general radiologists, read subspecialty exams relevant to training, interpret breast imaging, and perform procedures.
  • Perform basic procedures including joint injections and breast biopsies.
  • Read off a common list using an integrated EMR and PACS, which unifies the sites and distributes the workload.
  • Maintain subspecialty skills across all modalities and subspecialty areas.
  • Work daytime hours only.
  • Have minimal call requirements.
  • Have no procedural call.
  • Experience minimal to no travel.
