About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Diagnostic Radiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. Opportunity Details: Obtain patient histories and relevant clinical information from records and referring physicians. Perform and interpret imaging procedures, including MRI, CT, PET, mammography, ultrasound, and nuclear cardiology treadmill studies. Administer contrast agents and radiopaque substances (by injection, orally, or enemas) to render internal structures visible on x-ray films and fluoroscopic screens, recognizing and treating procedure-related complications. Treat malignant internal and external growths using radiographs, high-energy sources, and natural or synthetic radioisotopes. Communicate results and counsel patients on procedures, risks, benefits, and alternatives. Confer with medical professionals regarding image-based diagnoses and coordinate radiology services with other medical activities. Maintain quality control of images and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Serve as a teleradiologist when needed.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology
  • Active New York State medical license

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $468,750 (board eligible); $494,500 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $674,750 (board eligible) and $700,500 (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $130,000.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
