About The Position

JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Diagnostic Radiology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Phoenix, AZ • Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: May 18, 2026 – July 2026 (with potential extension) • Clinical Shift Schedule: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (8-hour swing shift) COVERAGE DATES • Ongoing coverage through summer 2026 until permanent hire PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Pediatrics through Adults • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 80–100 RVUs per shift • Case Mix: General diagnostic radiology including trauma imaging FACILITY INFORMATION • Trauma Level: I–IV • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: On-site imaging systems only (no remote capability) • Specialty Backup Available: Residents onsite (teaching facility) • Support Staff Available: Radiology and hospital staff • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: 6 weeks (AZ license); 2–3 months without license COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Not Specified REQUIRED PROCEDURES • General diagnostic radiology reads • Trauma imaging interpretation JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active AZ license preferred; willing to license (IMLC accepted) • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology • Other Qualifications: Must work onsite; no remote reading allowed DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Interpret diagnostic imaging studies across modalities • Manage trauma imaging cases during swing shift hours • Collaborate with residents and clinical teams • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
