About The Position

Provides diagnostic radiological procedures within the scope of practice, including receiving and preparing patients and equipment for procedures and maintaining supplies for the radiology department. Produces high-quality radiographs with a minimum of repeats while handling multiple room assignments and different types of exams on a daily basis. Operates routine radiographic equipment in a safe and proficient manner within the boundaries of competence, based on documented education, training, supervised experience, state, and national professional credentials, and appropriate professional experience. Practices radiographic safety using "as low as (is) reasonably achievable" (ALARA) concepts. Works with students from approved educational institutions.

Requirements

Associate's degree from a 2-year college or technical school in Radiology; or successfully completed a formal education program accredited by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists.
Knowledge of Database, Inventory, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing software, and Order processing systems.
Currently certified in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
Able to operate a variety of equipment.
Possess knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.

Nice To Haves

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
