About The Position

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT / X‑ray techs) to support operations at the White River Junction VA Medical Center located at 163 Veterans Dr, White River Junction, VT 05009. Multiple shift schedules available. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. Requirements

  • Current ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • Minimum 2 years of Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist experience
  • Maintain an active AHA BLS Certification
  • No sponsorship available
  • All candidates must be able to: Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force

Responsibilities

  • Perform general diagnostic radiography, fluoroscopy, portable radiography, portable fluoroscopy, and operating room imaging
  • Prepare and administer contrast materials under radiologist direction (e.g., GI studies, venograms, cystograms, arthrography)
  • Accurately operate imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic‑quality images while minimizing radiation exposure
  • Record radiation dose data for fluoroscopy and portable fluoroscopy exams
  • Review, validate, and process radiology orders in CPRS/VistA
  • Register, complete, cancel, and edit imaging exams in VA systems
  • Perform imaging studies according to urgency (STAT, urgent, routine, pre‑op)
  • Ensure image quality, repeat/reject analysis, and compliance with departmental quality thresholds
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure images are properly uploaded to PACS
  • Follow infection control, sterile technique, radiation safety, and VA safety policies
  • Assist radiologists/physicians during procedures and anticipate procedural needs
  • Identify patients correctly and ensure proper image labeling and documentation
  • Monitor equipment functionality and report malfunctions
  • Adjust exam techniques based on patient condition, body habitus, and clinical need
