About The Position

Work Schedule : Per diem position. Holiday and standby call rotations required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Pay : UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay. This position will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. You may be eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE). We are seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist – X-ray to: Perform a wide variety of imaging exams on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups using a wide variety of radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers. Troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Bring your knowledge to make quick and highly technical decisions in order to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology. Serve as a clinical instructor for affiliated imaging training programs and participate in the instruction of other technologists and visiting health care professionals and may also participate in clinical research.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Previous healthcare experience
  • 2 years of clinical experience
  • ARRT Radiography (R) certification Upon Hire
  • Wisconsin Radiological License Upon Hire
  • CPR certification within 3 months

Responsibilities
